I recently spent the weekend in South Beach for a bachelorette party and although the entire trip was fun, one of the highlights of the trip, at least for me, was lunch at The Dutch Miami. First of all, one of the other bridesmaids happens to work at The Dutch New York and was able to get us a pretty amazing discount but aside from that, the food and setting are both phenomenal. If it’s not too hot, dine outside. It’s absolutely dreamy. By the way, they have one of the cutest about pages ever. (more…)
It’s no secret that I adore Indian food. It’s probably my favorite type of food, even above Thai food, which is the food I grew up on. Indian food is full of flavor and color and I just can’t get enough of it. I hit up the local Indian restaurants more than a couple times a month, especially for their lunch buffets. Lunch buffets are my favorite, because I can never decide on just one dish. I like most Indian dishes but there are a couple that are stand outs for me. Favorites, if you will. (more…)
I feel incredibly blessed to live in an area with great restaurants and only 45 minutes away from New York City, home to some of the greatest restaurants in the world. When we want to go out to dinner, our options are seemingly limitless. Thai, Indian, Greek, Italian, you name it and we can easily find it. (more…)
My quarter century birthday (or 25th) happened this month and celebrations ensued. I feel so blessed because not only do I get to celebrate my birthday once, I also get to go out with my family, my husband’s family, and my friends. It’s nice to feel loved :). However, the month of May will now be devoted to dieting since basically I ate my way through the entire month of April! (more…)
I don’t know very many people who don’t like Tex Mex food. Crunchy, cheesy goodness is hard not to like, which is why I was so excited when we stumbled upon the Blue Moon Mexican Cafe in Engelwood, NJ. Not a native to the Engelwood area, I was walking along what seemed to be the main street in town, looking for a place to eat. There were tons of restaurants around, but for some reason the Blue Moon caught my eye. Even from the outside, the restaurant looks festive and welcoming. (more…)
I was so good on my diet. I really was. I didn’t cheat at all while on the Daniel Fast, at least not knowingly. Except once. One Friday night while on the Daniel Fast, I made an exception. Sometimes, you can’t help it…this was one of those times.
The first all Inclusive vacation I ever went on was spring break, senior year of college. I wasn’t sure about it at first, to be honest, but my roommates really wanted to go the all inclusive way so I decided to hop on board.
All inclusive vacations are awesome. They really are. If you want to go to a beautiful resort (most likely in the Caribbean) and sit on a white sand beach, and if you don’t really care to venture off at all, and are just looking to relax and eat and drink all day, then I absolutely recommend an all inclusive vacation.
However, even though I have a few all inclusive vacations under my belt, there are some pros and cons you should know about before you decide what type of vacation you are looking for. (more…)
